   Creating a new site to replace what webs.com offers is a whole lot easier if you edit your new pages on your own computer. Not only would you have a back up of your files, but you can test the functioning of the site in your browsers as long as you mirror the site online from what your have on your computer. In other words, all folders and files MUST maintain the same relationship online as you have on your computer. All paths should be relative paths. NONE to reference back to your computer from online.

   Webs.com’s free File Manager utilities leaves a lot to desire as the file uploader is one file at a time. Better than trying to make each page with their Visual Editor.

   If you are using webs you do not need to learn html you can just add pictures or text using your online editor.

   Another good free web host that you do not need to use html coding is weebly.

   However once you would like to using your own domain name and paid web hosting I would suggest using wordpress. Trust me it is easy to learn and you do not need to use html or PHP yet you can create cool professional websites with free plugins and templates ^_^

To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

   If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.
