   As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. A domain name is a name you want to call your website. To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

   wow the replies are filled with spam comments..Yahoo needs to do something about these guys.

   Ok as for web hosting, if you want to have a site like craiglist, you better know programming (php, mysql). If you don't have time for that, better get ready to pay someone a lot of money.

   To get started, first start a website and get to know how things work. I recommend just setting up a wordpress blog and play around with it.

   I also recommending that you start looking into "online marketing" and start learning about how to advertise or market your website.
